When activated, Route Alert can be used to quickly view route time with traffic or a more detailed view can be used to check time with traffic by overlaying current traffic conditions for your chosen route on a map. How does it work? The first step is to create an "alert." An alert is the route you take to get from point A to point B, such as work to home. Once you've found your route and saved it, it shows up in your alert queue. Your alert queue is the main screen when the app loads. From here you can manually check your route time based on traffic conditions (click traffic light button), view your route on the map (map icon), set up an automated notification to check time with traffic, and delete the alert from the app.=================This app gives you the ability to preset your routes and to automate the checking of traffic conditions. How about getting a notification of your estimated commute time five minutes before you leave work? If the commute time is higher than you expected you can then plan to travel home along a different route. This version also contains a home screen widget for even more convenient way to check your routes.=================Known limitation:Route Alert uses real time traffic information as it is reported from GPS units, cell data and other information that is considered. Unfortunately if an accident happens or there is a traffic delay it doesn't get fully reported until enough data can be collected to determine if there is an issue.
